If you want to lose 20 pounds, aim to lose 1-2 pounds a week. Setting smaller goals for yourself along the way encourages you to stick to your plan. Man is a slave to forming habits, so form new habits and use them to your advantage.

Forming good exercise habits is especially important if you are not already in the habit.

It takes on average 28 days for us to adopt the new habit, so starting with smaller goals makes it easier for you to get used to the new way of life.

After 28 days of repeating the same action it becomes a natural part of your life so your eating and exercising habits may seem hard only in first month. Make them even easier by making moderate life changes in the beginning.
